Drink lots of water – at least 5 litres – everyday. It will dilute the urine and reduce the concentration of bacteria.
Go for Hot Bath
Fill your bathtub with lukewarm water. Spend around half an hour in your bathtub.
The bacteria in the Urine binds more tightly to the below Juices compared to the bladder wall and are eliminated when you pee. This idea will work better if you take these juices on empty stomach and drink a lot of water after one hour. Do not eat anything in that one hour window. These juices will give you relief from cystitis pain. But they work better as preventive measure. Make sure to include below juices in your daily diet to avoid any recurring instance of cystitis.
Juice of English Spinach
It’s the most effective remedy to treat cystitis naturally. Take 100 grams of fresh English spinach leaves. Use mixer to extract the juice. If you add coconut water to the prepared juice, the efficiency will increase. This grandmother’s remedy is known to soothe the burning sensation and subside the pain.
Juice of Neem Leaves
Add fresh Neem leaves to 250 ml of water and boil it. Filter the leaves and drink the solution. This is the best of grandmother’s recipes to counter cystitis. But please avoid it if you are pregnant.
Prepare 250 ml of cucumber juice. Add a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Drink this three times a day.
Mix half glass of carrot juice with half glass of water. Drink it twice a day.
Prepare a cup of juice from fresh radish leaves. Drink a cup of this juice – thrice everyday – for a period of 2 weeks.
Boil a cup of water. Add a tablespoon of lemon juice in it. Allow it to cool before drinking it . Repeat, if needed.
Drink one litre of cranberry juice every day.
Try Tai Chong
It’s a cool way to fight against cystitis and reduce the bacterial infection and burning sensation. Chinese have known about this point for more than four thousand years. Applying pressure on Tai Chong will strengthen your Liver and Bladder. You can find this point on your feet. Just look at the intersection of your toe with adjacent one .It’s Two finger width above that intersection. Once you find the point, use your fingers to massage and simulate this area.
Try Cold Pack
Apply cold pack on the lower pack of the stomach till the pain subsides.
Eat Cloves, Garlic and Onions
Chew raw cloves. It has strong anti-bacterial properties. Include Garlic and onions in your daily diet for the same reason.
Precautions needed to be taken when suffering from Cystitis
- Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes and jeans. Always Wear cotton panties only.
- Avoid unprotected sex and always urinate before intercourse.
- Do not ignore the urge to urinate. Better not hold pee as it will increase the pain.
- Avoid Spicy and fried foods.
- Avoid spraying perfume around the vaginal area.
